Have you ever wondered how long it took to build this beauty of Edmonton? Well, not much, it just took around 4 years. It replaced the old Walter Dale bridge and is definitely much more of a looker than it was earlier! It was named after Walter Dale, who was an early settler. The bridge is a through arch bridge across the North Saskatchewan River and has three lanes for northbound vehicular traffic and improved pedestrian and cyclist crossings. During the evenings the bridge happily welcomes not only joggers and cyclists but also families for a memorable hangout.
